We spent time outside of Chiang Mai in the Mae Rim area. Petted tigers at Tiger Kingdom, saw an amazing snake show at Cobra Show, enjoyed an afternoon at an Elephant Show and really loved our relaxing, private accommodations at a newly re-opened resort called Ruen Ariya Resort. It was a bit hard getting around with limited access to cabs or tuktuk's out of town, however. We weren't thrilled with the Monkey School, but the kids loved the Insect place (live and museum)
